After nearly two years in Highland Park, Carla’s Fresh Market has closed its doors. One unprecedented event after another, combined with increased operational expenses specific to this location, made it impossible to keep going.
I recorded a video to share more about this decision, what it means, and where we go from here.
I have also launched a GoFundMe to help pay back the farmers and food makers who stood with us from the very beginning. Every contribution helps us close with integrity.
To those who have been with us since the pop-up days, and everyone who showed up with love, curiosity, and support, thank you. You are the reason Carla’s existed at all, and I am deeply grateful.
This is not the end of Carla’s. It is a pause, a reset, and a promise to come back in a more sustainable way.
